The Blue-throated Barbet (Psilopogon asiaticus) is a small bird with a body length of 20-23 cm. The forehead to the top of the head is bright red, with a broad black horizontal band on it, which divides the red into two parts; the side of the head, chin, and throat are blue, and there is a red spot on each side of the lower throat. Grass-green upper body, light yellow-green lower body.
